Civil Litigation
Our team is also extensively involved in the litigation of civil matters in court. Civil litigation is a term used to describe the legal process applied to non-criminal matters. Civil litigation is thus the filing and subsequent application of a civil lawsuit; civil litigation is incorporated into a non-criminal dispute to help produce a resolution.
Civil litigation is a term that applies to any legal dispute where two or more parties are seeking monetary damages or a specific performance and does not include criminal accusations. Civil litigation includes product liability, intellectual property disputes, construction disputes, medical malpractice, employment and labour issues, anti-trust laws, real estate matters, workers compensation and education law. In the broadest sense, civil litigation is any legal proceeding that does not involve criminal charges or penalties.
